Problem Statement

Zalando is Europe’s leading online fashion platform, doing business in 15 markets.
How can we help new hires at Zalando have a smooth transition
into their new job when relocating to a new city or even a new country?

“Bersin by Deloitte found that a significant portion of employee turnover—22%—occurs during the first 45 days on the job.
People enter a new environment, feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and promptly choose to leave.”


Diving into Ideations 🌊

In a Slingshot project, we only had two weeks to create Zurvival.
After a day of clarifying some MVPs, each member created their visions of a prototype; below there are five variations.


Through Heat Mapping, we shifted through each page and created what would be the best prototype for the Zurvival App! *See below* 


This overwhelming scramble of a prototype layout shows an overview of all thoughts laid out and all inputs from every team member.

You can see in the mess of a user journey there's a lot of detail in the onboarding process but through our research, building a customized introduction that leads into a differeing version of the Dashboard will make of a more personalized experience for the user.


Research Synthesis from User Testing

This overwhelming amount of feedback from just one user test was informative and very in-depth to understanding our users! After shifting through all this data (plus 8 more) our team collected in Zalando's user testing rooms, we were able to synthesize our focus, MVPS and goals!

Let's Get Down to Business

Our team did a full business plan but in brief, our business proposition is the creation of a digital product in the form of a mobile app, part of the Zalando family. We envisage as main entry point the integration with the existing Candidate App. However, this could be a self-sufficient product and for this purpose we have further developed it under Zurvival.
